T88, T121, and SS-77 options
T88 is the documented aluminum-cut formula. SS-77 and Black Magic SS-11 are documented for stainless or steel cutting. T121 is separately listed as Fast-Cut Tripoli; contact Maverick when the exact material-and-wheel sequence is not already qualified.
Green, blue, white, yellow, and purple serve different stages
Green is the documented aluminum-color step; blue and white are fine-polish choices; Yellow Deluxe is documented for copper or brass; Competition Purple is the final high-luster choice.
Q36 Illudium formula
The regular bar selector describes Q36 as a cut-and-color formula and the case selector identifies it as a one-step option. That product naming does not guarantee one pass on every starting surface.

What does each compound bar in the case selector do?
This guide carries the documented roles from Maverick’s regular compound-bar page into the bulk page. Every variant is a case of ten matching bars—not an assortment.
T88 Brown Tripoli
Use for the initial cutting stage on aluminum. The established Maverick sequence pairs T88 with an orange airway wheel and does not use this aluminum Tripoli step for stainless.
T121 Sienna
The selector identifies T121 as a Fast-Cut Tripoli formula. Use it only where that formula, material, wheel, speed, and process have been qualified; contact Maverick when application matching is uncertain.
SS-77 Stainless Heavy Cut
The regular compound guide identifies SS-77 for cutting stainless or steel. It is paired with heavy-cut red or orange treated wheels, or a sisal wheel for very heavy cutting. Open the current SS-77 SDS retained from the regular bar page.
Black Magic SS-11
Black Magic is another documented cutting choice for stainless or steel. Keep its wheel separate from every later coloring or finishing compound.
Green Rouge G-16
Use after the aluminum cutting stage to develop color and shine. Maverick’s established sequence pairs Green Rouge with a clean yellow or pink treated airway wheel.
Blue Rouge SS-800
A fine-polish choice for aluminum or stainless. The regular page positions Competition Purple as the additional higher-luster stage when the finish requires it.
White Rouge SS-300
A fine-polish choice for aluminum or stainless that is positioned as a brighter step than Green Rouge, but below Competition Purple for final high luster.
Yellow Deluxe
The documented copper-and-brass sequence uses Yellow Deluxe with a clean yellow airway wheel for the first polishing stage after the surface is prepared.
Competition Purple SS-510

DOCUMENTED POLISHING SEQUENCES
How do the cutting, coloring, and finishing stages fit together?
Use a clean wheel dedicated to each compound. The correct result still depends on surface preparation, wheel construction, machine speed, pressure, heat, part geometry, and the actual finish target.
Cut, color, then optionally finish
Start with T88 on an orange airway wheel, move to Green Rouge on a clean yellow wheel, then use blue, white, or Competition Purple on another clean finishing wheel only when a finer final stage is required.
Use a stainless cutting formula
Start with SS-77 or Black Magic SS-11 on the appropriate heavy-cut treated or sisal wheel, then move to a separate clean wheel and blue, white, or purple compound as the finish requires.
Prepare tarnish before polishing
The regular page uses Yellow Deluxe on a yellow wheel followed by Competition Purple on a clean pink wheel. Its stated 2,200–2,600 RPM range never overrides the lowest machine, wheel, flange, or process rating.
