3-inch mounted flap wheels: choose your shank and grit

These aluminum oxide flap wheels measure 3 inches in diameter by 1 inch in face width and come in packs of 10. Choose the shank type and grit for your setup before adding a pack to your cart.

Plain or threaded shank

The selector offers Plain Shank and 1/4-20 Thread Shank. These are different attachment types: match the selected option to the attachment specified by your tool manufacturer. A matching shank alone does not confirm that the tool accepts a 3-inch wheel.

Available grits

Choose 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 180, 240 or 320 grit. Select the starting grit for the existing surface and the finish you need; check the result on a suitable test area before continuing. Use the product selector to confirm the exact shank-and-grit combination.

Check the machine before mounting

Confirm wheel diameter, face-width clearance, attachment, guarding and operating speed against the tool instructions and the wheel's marked maximum speed. Do not assume a drill or grinder is suitable from its attachment size alone. If the wheel speed rating or mounting requirements are unclear, confirm them before use.
