6" X 89" SANDING BELTS

Our 6" x 89" sanding belts are manufactured in our Anaheim, California manufacturing facility. These belts are fantastic for edge sanding or metal fabrication machines whether it be metal or woodworking applications. As far as which material would be best for your application, we recommend you read our descriptions down below so you can choose the material that is best for you and your budget.  These belts can be ran bi-directionally.

GUIDE ON HOW TO CHOOSE WHAT ABRASIVE MATERIAL TO BUY FOR YOUR APPLICATION:

ALUMINUM OXIDE - Aluminum oxide is one of the most cost effective and versatile wide belt sanding material's there is. You can use it on virtually any surface including wood, aluminum, stainless steel, steel & composites. Our premium cloth backed aluminum oxide belts are made using a blend of polyester and cotton which means these belts can be ran in any wet or dry application. For people that are sanding wood, we recommend you choose Aluminum oxide 95% of the time as Zirconia can often be too aggressive for a woodworking application and can tear into the wood or leave burn marks. For Metalworkers that cant decide on what material to buy, we mostly recommend zirconia in the coarse grits such as 24, 36, 40, 60, 80 120. Aluminum oxide for metal workers is a better option if you are simply worried about spending the least amount of money possible. This material is made on a premium X-weight cloth backing that is heavy duty for any application. This belt can be ran in wet or dry applications. 

ZIRCONIA - Zirconia sanding belts are a fantastic option for HEAVY stock removal and long life on either aluminum or stainless steel. If you are looking for a coarser sanding belt grit that will do some heavy lifting and do it in a hurry, you would probably be best suited for zirconia which is available in 24 grit, 36 grit, 40 grit, 50 grit, 60 grit, 80 grit, 100 grit & 120 grit. While we don't have all of these grits on our website, you can reach out to us and we can custom make any belt size in that grit for you. This material is made on a premium Y-weight polyester backing which allows it to be ran in wet or dry applications. 

Ceramic Shredder -  Our ceramic shredder is truly a remarkable material for sanding hard materials such as stainless steel, steel and mild steel. This material will hog material in a hurry and will last the longest of any type of abrasive material. We do not recommend this material for aluminum or wood as softer materials tend to clog on a material like this. Ceramic will last 2-3X longer than zirconia and 6-7X longer than aluminum oxide in stainless, steel and mild steel applications.
