NINE-INCH DISC SANDING NEEDS A FLAT, CENTERED ATTACHMENT

Control the contact zone and work support on a compatible disc sander

The X-weight cloth and resin bond provide a durable coated-abrasive construction, while the PSA liner attaches directly to a qualified pad or steel platen. Fit, pad condition, speed, table setup, pressure, and grit sequence determine the result.

01

Fifteen discs per box

Every selected option contains 15 matching 9-inch cloth PSA discs.

02

Nine live grit choices

All available variants use aluminum oxide from 36 through 400 grit.

03

Customer-verified rating

4.7 out of 5 from 31 reviews. Available review content appears below.

DECISION GUIDE

What should you verify before choosing?

The exact fit, abrasive construction, grit, machine setup, work material, and finish target all affect the result.

36–80 GRIT

Coarse removal and shaping

Use for heavier correction when the machine, work support, and material permit it. Coarse pressure and edge contact require deliberate control.

120–180 GRIT

Intermediate preparation

Use to refine the coarse scratch before moving to finer preparation or a finish system that accepts the resulting surface.

220–400 GRIT

Fine scratch refinement

Use only after earlier scratches are uniformly removed. Select the final grit around the next coating, adhesive, polish, or finish step.

PSA ATTACHMENT

Clean, center, and press the disc flat

A nine-inch disc magnifies pad distortion and installation offset. Inspect the attachment surface, center the disc, and press evenly before startup.

CLOTH PSA CONSTRUCTION

What are you buying—and what else does the system need?

Each disc combines abrasive grain, resin bond, X-weight cloth backing, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive liner. The compatible backup pad or steel platen, tool, and work support are separate parts of the sanding system.

ABRASIVE FACE

Grain and grit control the cutting stage

Use the live variant name as the product specification. Different grain families have different available ranges, and a higher-priced grain is not automatically right for every job.

RESIN BOND

The bond anchors grain to the cloth

Heat resistance does not remove system limits. Monitor temperature, loading, edge wear, backing condition, and any change in attachment during use.

X-WEIGHT CLOTH

Tough backing for demanding sanding

Cloth is more durable than lightweight paper in many heavy or edge-wear applications, but it is less compliant for fine paint-preparation work and must still match the pad and tool.

PSA LINER

Peel, center, press, and remove

Pressure-sensitive adhesive attaches directly to a clean compatible surface. It is not hook-and-loop, and a damaged, oily, dusty, overheated, or wrong-size pad can compromise the attachment.

PSA DISC SETUP

How to install a cloth PSA sanding disc

PSA VS. HOOK-AND-LOOP

Match the disc to the attachment surface

PSA uses adhesive contact across the back of the disc. Hook-and-loop uses mating textile faces. Do not place one system directly on the other unless the tool manufacturer approves a purpose-built interface.

Do not generalize wet-use claims. Use liquid only when the exact disc, adhesive, pad, machine, electrical setup, work material, and operating procedure are approved for it.

HOW TO USE IT

Mount the nine-inch disc and verify it runs true

Use the exact machine and pad instructions for power isolation, diameter, speed, guarding, table or work-rest position, extraction, and removal.

  1. 01

Disconnect power and confirm the machine accepts a 9-inch cloth PSA disc.

  2. 02

Inspect and clean the compatible pad or steel platen; reject damage, distortion, contamination, or residue.

  3. 03

Peel the liner, center the disc carefully, and press flat from the center outward.

  4. 04

Start clear of the work and verify secure, true rotation before a light test pass.

  5. 05

Use the permitted contact zone and supported work; stop fully before adjustments or disc removal.

Use the guarding, extraction or collection, personal protective equipment, training, and operating procedures required by the machine, abrasive product, work material, and workplace.

Use it for

  • Compatible 9-inch disc sanders and PSA attachment surfaces
  • Flat sanding, edge shaping, and surface preparation
  • Qualified wood or metal work with aluminum oxide
  • Coarse removal through fine preparation
  • Controlled stationary-disc work with required guarding and support

Do not use it for

  • An incorrect diameter or hook-and-loop-only pad
  • The prohibited side or unsupported contact area of a stationary disc
  • A wrinkled, off-center, lifting, torn, or contaminated disc
  • Operating above the lowest system speed rating
  • Wet use without full disc-and-machine approval

PRODUCT FAQ

Questions before you choose?

What comes in each 9-inch cloth PSA disc order?

Each selected variant contains 15 matching 9-inch aluminum oxide cloth PSA discs in one grit.

Which grits are available?

The live selector offers 36, 60, 80, 120, 150, 180, 220, 320, and 400 grit.

What does PSA mean?

PSA means pressure-sensitive adhesive. Remove the liner and press the disc evenly onto a clean, flat, compatible 9-inch PSA backup pad or steel platen.

Can I use these on a hook-and-loop pad?

Not directly. These are PSA discs and require a compatible PSA surface or an approved interface designed for the machine, disc diameter, speed, and work.

How do I prevent uneven sanding on a large disc?

Use a flat, clean, undamaged attachment surface; center the disc; verify true rotation; keep the table or work rest correctly adjusted; use the permitted contact zone; and apply controlled pressure.

What are the shipping and return terms?

Shipping methods, rates, and delivery estimates depend on the order and destination and are shown at checkout. The return policy provides a 30-day window for eligible unused items in original condition and packaging. Restrictions and return-shipping costs apply.
