Compare the exact options before ordering

Match both belt dimensions to the machine manual, then compare the material and grit combinations below. A grit offered in one material may not be offered in another.

These links show the combinations listed for this product. Select a grit to load that exact option; confirm its current price and availability before adding it to your cart.

Each selected wide-belt variant is a two-pack of the same material and grit. A machine’s working width is not necessarily its abrasive-belt width. Check the manual’s belt specification, backing, joint and process requirements.

Manufacturer references for this belt size

These references confirm dimensions for the named models. Verify the manual for your exact machine, revision and configuration before ordering.

For SCM machines, confirm the exact model’s abrasive-belt dimensions; the SCM brand or a 43-inch working width alone does not confirm a 43 × 75-inch belt.

THREE CONSTRUCTIONS, ONE EXACT BELT SIZE

Match the backing and grain to the material and finish target

A cloth aluminum oxide belt, zirconia belt, and paper-backed aluminum oxide belt do not behave the same. Confirm machine acceptance and choose the construction for the required cut, durability, and surface finish.

01

Two belts per pack

Both belts use the selected material, backing, and grit.

02

22 live combinations

Eleven cloth aluminum oxide, six zirconia, and five paper aluminum oxide variants are listed.

DECISION GUIDE

Which 43" x 75" abrasive construction should you choose?

Use the live material names as the controlling specification. Contact Maverick if the machine manual does not identify acceptable backing types.

BROAD GRIT RANGE

Closed-coat cloth aluminum oxide

Available from 36–400 grit for general wood or metal sanding and progressive scratch refinement.

HEAVIER REMOVAL

Zirconia

Available in 36, 40, 60, 80, 100, and 120 grit for coarser stock-removal work.

SELECTED FINISHING RANGE

Paper aluminum oxide

Currently offered in 80, 120, 150, 180, and 220 grit. Use only when a paper-backed belt is suitable for the machine and work.

GRIT PROGRESSION

Remove the prior scratch before moving finer

Choose the least aggressive starting grit that will do the work and inspect the entire panel between stages.

MACHINE SIZE AND FIT CHECK

Which machines are associated with this belt size?

Use model names as a starting point. Confirm the exact belt width and loop length in the machine manual before ordering.

MACHINE REFERENCE

Powermatic WB-43

Verify the exact machine revision, belt dimensions, backing, joint, and operating requirements before ordering.

MACHINE REFERENCE

SCM: check the exact model manual

Verify the exact machine revision, belt dimensions, backing, joint, and operating requirements before ordering.

MACHINE REFERENCE

Safety Speed 4375

Verify the exact machine revision, belt dimensions, backing, joint, and operating requirements before ordering.

Fit check: A manufacturer or model-family name is not enough. Match both dimensions exactly and check any backing, joint, direction, tension, and speed requirements.

ABRASIVE AND PROCESS NOTES

What should you check before running the belt?

The important material distinctions, grit ranges, bidirectional note, and troubleshooting links remain part of the page.

ALUMINUM OXIDE

Broad-range general-purpose choice

Where listed, cloth aluminum oxide covers coarse removal through finer finishing stages. Selected products also offer paper aluminum oxide in a narrower range.

ZIRCONIA

Coarse and medium stock removal

Where listed, zirconia is concentrated in 36–120 grit. The 43 × 60 product is the exception in this batch and currently offers aluminum oxide only.

BIDIRECTIONAL NOTE

Follow the delivered belt and machine

The original records describe these wide belts as bidirectional. A direction arrow or machine instruction on the actual product controls if present.

GRIT PROGRESSION

Remove the prior scratch before moving finer

Start with the least aggressive grit that will do the work, inspect the full surface, and use intermediate stages appropriate to the required finish.

HOW TO USE IT

Install and track the belt before feeding a panel

Follow the machine manual for direction, tension, tracking, guarding, and dust or spark collection.

  1. 01

Lock out the machine and confirm the required size is 43 inches × 75 inches.

  2. 02

Inspect the belt face, backing, edges, and joint before installation.

  3. 03

Install in the required direction and set tension and tracking to the machine specification.

  4. 04

Run without stock and verify that the belt tracks steadily without edge contact.

  5. 05

Test a representative workpiece using controlled feed and pressure before production.

Use the guarding, extraction or collection, personal protective equipment, training, and operating procedures required by the machine, abrasive product, work material, and workplace.

Use it for

  • Compatible 43-inch × 75-inch wide-belt sanders
  • Wood leveling and finish preparation
  • Metal sanding with the matched construction and process
  • Coarse removal through fine aluminum oxide refinement
  • Paper-backed finishing stages where the machine permits them

Do not use it for

  • Selecting from a machine name without confirming both belt dimensions
  • Paper-backed belts where the machine or process requires cloth backing
  • A damaged belt joint, edge, or backing
  • Operation outside the machine speed, tension, and tracking limits
  • Wet use without full belt-and-machine confirmation

PRODUCT FAQ

Questions before you choose?

What abrasive materials are available for 43-inch x 75-inch belts?

The live selector offers closed-coat cloth aluminum oxide in 36–400 grit, zirconia in 36–120 grit, and paper aluminum oxide in selected 80–220 grits.

Which machine references can help me check fit?

Powermatic WB-43 and Safety Speed 4375 manufacturer references specify 43 × 75-inch belts. SCM is a machine family, not a universal size reference: confirm the exact model manual. Check belt width, loop length, backing, joint and process requirements before ordering.

What is the difference between cloth and paper aluminum oxide?

They use different backing constructions. Cloth aluminum oxide is the broad-range option on this page. Paper aluminum oxide is limited to five 80–220 grit variants and should be used only where the machine and process accept paper backing.

Can these belts run in either direction?

The existing product record describes the belts as bidirectional. Follow any direction marking on the delivered belt and the machine manual if either specifies a direction.

What comes in the order?

Each selected variant is a two-pack. Both belts use the exact material and grit shown in the live selector.

What are the shipping and return terms?

Shipping methods, rates, and delivery estimates depend on the order and destination and are shown at checkout. Return eligibility, approval requirements, restocking fees, and return-shipping costs are explained in the return policy. Review the policy before ordering.
